i downloaded the files from the taito type x x2 emulator with 18 games and frontend forum, and compiled on my windows xp using fasm 6.6.0.exe. i am trying to launch the game using the frontend. however, it is not working. i have checked the registry, and it seems that i have everything set up correctly.
i am having problems with the taito type x x2 emulator with 18 games and frontend emulator. i have read the frontend is not compatible with taito type x/x2 & nesica live, and that if you want to use them you need a frontend such as the one i have linked to on my forum post. i have taito type x x2 emulator with 18 games and frontend. i have the loader file from the forum and if i load the game into my.exe loader file it plays the game.
i have downloaded the loader file and compiled with visual studio and it works great. the problem is i can not figure out how to setup the games so that it will launch when the launcher opens. when i load the launcher i get a screen that says “unknown emulator” any suggestions?

in order to use the sega saturn (vizli) emulator with the frontend you must first install daemon tools and then install microsoft.net framework if not already installed. this suite of tools will allow you to mount sega saturn disc images. once installed i would suggest shutting off all options: secure mode, automount, inuse check, and autostart. there are some inherent risks involved with turning off secure mode but it may be worth it to remove the annoying alert box that shows every time you mount a new disc image. you must then place the vizli-launch.exe and support files within the vizli directory. launch vizli-launch.exe and update the preference panel to the location of daemon tools, set the keycode for the virtual drive that daemon tools creates (usually drive: k or j) and set the exit key for the wrapper. simply have the frontend link to the vizli-launch.exe instead of vizli, set your media location in the frontend and you should be ready to play. daemon tools supports nearly every disc image format available.
