## The Photoshop Layers Panel
The only way to change a picture in Photoshop is to make alterations to it as individual layers, often referred to as _layers_ or layers as individual image elements. A layer in a picture is most often a single color or grayscale area of the picture and is essentially the equivalent of a single coloration.
Photoshop uses a layer-based editing system that enables you to apply different tools, filters, and effects on a specific area of the image (a _layer_ ) at a time. Figure 1-1 displays the Layers panel and introduces the purpose and basic usage of Layers.

## Basic Layers
When you create a new document, the first thing to do is add a layer to define where the new document begins. The new layer is called the _background_ layer. You also create a layer called the _foreground_ layer when you want to change something or add something to the foreground. When it’s time to place an image on the page, you can put the layers on top of each other or reverse them. You can also group layers together for easier layer placement and editing.

A lot of people have been criticising Sonakshi Sinha for being an actress in the film. But Sonakshi Sinha has her reasons for picking up a dual role in the film. And, even though Sonakshi Sinha wanted to change the character, she was stuck to her character, according to her.
Soon after the controversy started, Sonakshi Sinha defended herself by saying that she had been chosen as a film’s heroine based on her looks. Additionally, Sonakshi Sinha felt that she had to play the female lead so that the film could be a commercial success.
While Sonakshi Sinha is the heroine in the film, Ajay Devgn plays the role of Nandkishore Prasad, who is best friend of Ramji Krishna (Shaurya), the antagonist in the film. Ajay Devgn is not the antagonist, but he is playing a good guy in the film. A lot of people have questioned whether playing a role as a hero in the film was a step in the right direction for Ajay Devgn. However, Ajay Devgn was of the opinion that he had to play the role so that Sonakshi Sinha could play her role of Suman as well.
