Installing Adobe Photoshop is not as simple as installing other programs. Unlike other programs, Adobe Photoshop is in its own unique category of software. Unlike most other programs, Adobe Photoshop does not require a separate download and installer. Instead, once you have downloaded the program, you can simply run the installer and begin using it. The first step is to download Adobe Photoshop from the Adobe website. Once the download is complete, go to the location of the installer file and then run it. Now you can use the software.
The iPad version of Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 looks identical to the previous version for Mac users, and it offers the same array of features and options as a full-scale Photoshop desktop app, but running on a much smaller display. The new interface is clean and easy-to-navigate and also contains a plethora of options, making it a very user-friendly interface. Let’s face it, Apple users shouldn’t be forced to use Windows or Android for their iPads and mobile devices. The iPad Pro is a great device that can do many things, but it’s also a PC on the go. Sure, there are voice dictation features, and there is also the keyboard app Keyboard, but that is all we see. The Photoshop mobile app is largely the same, though, with a similar interface plus a new feature called Touch Suggest. This is a feature that Adobe now has built into Photoshop that will allow for the creation of 3D content. If you don’t know what I am talking about, simply use the new Touch Suggest tool as you would any other tool and you will see the app correctly identify what that content is, ignoring any mistakes you might make. All you have to do is tap or swipe gently and then move your finger in different directions, and Adobe will identify the subject.
Latest update of Photoshop CS6 got me thinking about the whole app runtime and performance piece, under which multiple EXEs are in fact used. And to my surprise I found a pretty big performance boost, how does:
• Photoshop.exe, the OS-native version, has a nice delay in switching between multiple documents and after spinning the disk 100x.
• PsApp.exe, which is part of a.Net component, is totally unaffected, it knows exactly where the actual image’s data file is found, caches it highly and processes images each time quickly.
• PsDfxr.exe, Native plug-in, utilizing the protected mode still lives on, is a nice-looking exe, hard to believe totally not affected.
• Graphics32.exe used a couple of times to save and load images from graphics32_plugin.dll is now gone, PSD creation is done here.
• Pehoplay.exe, used after image export for pretty printing and creating a GIF and PPM.exe for printing is gone from PS dictionary. What in the heck?
• Runtime.exe is the exe I would love to remove for performance, but it is actually a very fast startup wrapper for running the console version of Adobe Photoshop.
• PS.exe is silently removed on startup, no longer used in the above code.
• Gentomsys.exe isn’t used at all anymore, since Conversion manager, which it used to, is all that matters.
• Adobe.dll isn’t used at all anymore, since Runtime.exe takes over.
• If you are using Photoshop currently, you will see an app explorer directly pointing to Lr.exe, Ps.exe and PSDfxr.exe, don’t worry it is ok, it just shows messages that system is heavily loaded and we are starting Adobe.
• Modern performance upgrades and changes are in place, as expected, PSDfxr.exe, PsApp.exe, Adobe.dll and Graphics32.exe are no longer used.
•.Net Exe is still used, even though Photoshop and its plugins are not installed.
• Even most newer versions of the Photoshop SDK PCL are used for.Net Framework DLLs, which are (very fast) cached copies of native PE DLLs, e.g. of Graphics32.dll.
