This is a renovated and extended version of our .1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates generally to an apparatus for controlling a motor, such as a brushless motor or a DC motor. More specifically, the invention relates to a control apparatus for controlling an induction type motor such as a brushless motor or a DC motor in a two-phase system without the occurrence of cogging torque.
2. Description of the Prior Art
There are two kinds of control apparatus of such induction type motors which are applied, for example, to driving an injection molding machine. These control apparatus are based on a two-phase system. However, both apparatuses are based on the similar principles and therefore the following descriptions will be made of the former one of them only.
In the prior art control apparatus, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, a stator is provided with three exciting coils 2 and 3 and 3, respectively and a pair of rotor position detecting means 4, and 5. In these coils 2 and 3, excitation currents having a phase angle of 90.degree. each are supplied, respectively. At that time, these currents are supplied from a pair of exciting circuits 6 and 7. Each exciting circuit 6 and 7 supplies exciting currents having a phase angle of 45.degree. each from both ends thereof and supplies the exciting currents supplied to the exciting coils 2 and 3 by the exciting circuits 6 and 7 in a complementary relation with each other. A control current corresponding to a difference between an exciting current, which is supplied from the exciting circuit 6, and an exciting current, which is supplied from the exciting circuit 7, is supplied to each coil from a brushless motor control apparatus 8.
The rotor position detecting means 4 and 5 comprise Hall devices 10 and 11, magneto-resistance devices 12 and 13 and resolvers 14 and 15. The exciting circuits 6 and 7 are connected to these detecting means.
The control current is always supplied to the three exciting coils 2 and 3 from the brushless motor control apparatus 8. A current flowing in each exciting coil 2
