well, i have to say i have absolutely no idea what i am doing! i tried doing what they said and it worked, then i started getting errors about not being able to communicate etc. i closed the standalone from within the patch and restarted but am now getting the same bunch of errors again. now im not sure if i need to reinstall the standalone or plug in, or what. i have really no idea what is going on and was hoping someone could shed some light on what i am doing wrong. it was working fine, then the standalone was installed and it stopped working. i have tried reinstalling it but nothing seems to help. the only thing i can think of is that there are two folders, one (as usual) for the standalone and one for the plug in. maybe its looking for the wrong one?
i have finally found where the problem is! the new standalone xattr for 5.1.003 no longer works on 64 bit systems! the setup program used xattr (included) to find the dll. i have included the new standalone xattr in the zip, and it works great. but it takes a bit of finessing to convince imix and logic to “see” the plugin. there are two things to do: 1) edit the setup program so it will work on 64 bit systems (5.003) and 2) create a new one for the 5.004 that will work on 32 bit systems. i am creating a new link now and will post it after it is finished.
as far as i can tell, the new standalone from 5.1.003 no longer works under 64bit. i have included my fixes to it in the zip, and it works for me. the only place where it doesn’t have a specific file is the “setup” folder. you will have to copy the main folder from the “setup” folder of the zip to the installation folder of your standalone. there are more detail instructions in the readme file.
