Ubisoft sent us a package. It included a CD ROM that was a full experience of the game and a copy of the game on their website. We absolutely loved the game so Ubisoft also sent us a cool poster of the game and its box.

We loved the game. If you haven’t played it, you should. It’s a great RPG that’s fun to play and tons of fun to watch. You’ll lose hours to it.
We wish we could be on the coast, acting as a DJ, catching waves and riding a wave.. Out.. **put that saw out of here**
Here’s what we had to say about it:
It’s a pure RPG – there are no spells, just characters.
The game has pretty smooth controls. It’s fast to play but you will have to think about what you do. No talking while in combat.
You control your four characters in a party. They’ll fight enemies together. Characters will do each others jobs, such as healing, buffing, etc.
The best feature of this game is the way characters are used. They can go through the game as a healer, a fighter, or a tank. They won’t do any damage but they will slow and support your other characters.
The story is a classic style RPG, with a spoofed storyline. The game has a quirky cast of characters and an interesting plot.
The main quest is pretty fun but there are side quests that are fun to do. You’ll find some interesting hidden items.
The main thing we didn’t like is that it’s a bit buggy. But you’ll have access to a beta server that should fix most of these problems. The beta should take care of most of the bugs..
It’s hard to spell Dopey and Brainless. It’s a great game though.

Over all I would say it was pretty good.
The game is based on a book I read as a kid, called Astro Boy. These two guys had a show on TV called Astro Boy. That’s where the basis for this game comes from. There’s a TV show and this game is the game.

OlliOlli is one of those games where you’re meant to enjoy yourself, to not think too much. Yet still, it presents you with issues. “Is it too easy?” I remember asking myself at the time I first played it. “Do I not have enough counter-intuitive tricks?” The first few games that followed were all practice, with no immediate challenge. But then I worked out that it was better to deliberately face a wall than something that was really tough. If I didn’t like a challenge, I could skip past it. And then came OlliOlli 2, where I realised that I was driving past that wall.
At times, OlliOlli seems easy. For instance, there’s a simple wall kick that feels counterintuitive and a board-to-board flip that can be performed at higher speeds. But getting to grips with OlliOlli is quite like getting to grips with skateboarding: you start with the simplest tricks, learn more and more complex techniques, and end up in some genuinely unusual situations. In every game, there’s a few tricks that feel counterintuitive, and a lot of them are really hard. But there’s a reason that OlliOlli is called OlliOlli and not OlliOlli2.
The hardest trick is to progress through the levels, which are set out in a rather monotonous way. Eventually, you’ll end up doing the ‘big tricks’ – the ollie, backflip, front flip, 360 and board-to-board flips. These are the tricks that make OlliOlli a benchmark in a world where the Nintendo Switch lacks the trappings of an arcade cabinet. But it’s not that I’m criticising this, per se: this is just the way that OlliOlli works, in the same way that the Nintendo Switch works. While OlliOlli has shown off a number of tricks, it’s something of a reminder that the Switch is a handheld console. It won’t easily allow for the sort of over the shoulder tricking that you do in OlliOlli.

Beyond the Horizon is a double album by band leader Stan Kenton’s recordings in California from 1955 to 1959. The first CD was released in 1997 by HatOLOGY and reissued by Kenton Jazz in 2004.
Recording
On February 3, 1955, Stan Kenton played at the San Francisco Civic Auditorium. Ten DPs were recorded of which just eight were preserved for sixty years. Recording engineer and tape editor Robert S. T. Brown undertook the task of restoring many of these and decided to compile the music on a double LP as an introduction to a series of Kenton concert recordings he had recently made in California.
The liner notes attributed selections to various composers, as did the track listings. Kenton would only self-describe the edition as “1955, (Jazz Workout)”. At that time he was billed as “Stan Kenton Presents” and was joined by Leo Resnikoff on alto saxophone, Alan Eden on piano, Chuck Israels on trombone, Bud Brisbois on double bass, Hal Sherman on trumpet, and Henry Coker and Larry Bunker on percussion.
Release history
The original LP was introduced as “Stan Kenton’s Jazz Workout”, a Los Angeles newspaper article by Ed Banks — an article-reporter who had for years followed Stan Kenton and his band, Kenton’s own word for a particular brand of his music — noted that the LP was presented by “an uncommercial artist”. It was recorded at the Phoenix club in Los Angeles on February 4, 1955 and was the club’s first rock’n’roll dance session. It featured John Scott Trotter, Sonny Berman, Bob Whitlock and Vern Miller among others.
CD reissue
In the 1990s, three of the four LP’s were reissued as the complete works.
However, the album was re-released in 2004 by the band leader’s authorized label JRK Records. “After the 1997 re-release, the album sold at least 250,000 copies and generating around $12 million”.
