Bollywood Movies has released the official trailer for their superhero sequel titled X-Men: Days of Future Past. There are to be a total of twelve X-Men, so in addition to the Dark Phoenix opening on June 3, 2014, Sinister, Quicksilver, and Psylocke will also arrive in the near future, dated for release on May 29, 2015. Taken from Vulture: As the X-Men make merry in the future, the status quo of the faltering X-Men franchise is starting to be unraveled. Some familiar faces are coming back for additional entries. There’s a team-up with all of the original actors, in the form of a devastating game of chess between Charles Xavier and Magneto, and the sequel is set way, way into the future. As director Bryan Singer reveals in a Perri Nederlander profile, the series is completely rebooted.
…The biggest thing about Days of Future Past regarding continuity is that the world as we know it no longer exists. Apocalypses and nuclear bombs have altered the face of our planet. [X-Men] have become a unique breed for an apocalypse-surviving human; however, not all mutants are ready to join the resistance. It all unfolds in a different future. The film is based on the premise of how mutants can help solve the world’s problems. Because of the mutants’ collective intellect, they are well-suited to the task.
Dipping into the X-Men storyline on the big screen, the mutant clock in Professor Xavier’s room starts to rattle, and he and Magneto are soon battling it out in the professor’s bedroom. It’s a tense scene, with both men trying to kill each other with their bare hands and a hundred years of animosity being brought to the table. Their voices are robotic, but the actors still deliver brilliantly. It’s a deeply personal battle in which both characters get to test their fists.
