A journey of… well, of course, it’s the game.
Twinfold is a 2D rogue-like puzzle-platformer with tactical
turn-based combat. Manipulate a multi-layered maze of
obstacles by combining cognitive elements and harmony
to create both temporal and spatial patterns. Take back the
world by merging babies and smashing angry faces.
The rules of the game state that death, whether by your own
merging power or the whims of the gods, is only a stepping
stone in life. You are not required to truly achieve
victory at any point, just as long as you do not sacrifice
your soul, making you the most powerful and cunning
player.
Play through an endlessly re-playable journey, either
just for the single-player experience or enjoy with a
friend. With a full breadth of game modes ranging from
Time Trial, Hardcore, and Challenge to Arcade, Story, and
Advanced, there’s something for everyone.
The Hurdles
Twinfold is the product of the combined efforts of an
individual who is in a constant state of tromping in
and out of an asylum. The ability to recreate these
interactions to a serviceable level in a digital
environment is at the core of the play experience. While
the intention is to re-create the feeling of many low
budgets, inexperienced developers, and an insane mind.

Design Concepts
Creating a roguelike is no easy task. It takes
quite a bit to get the basic mechanics down, and
there is also a lot of gameplay in the myriad of
traditionally rogue-likes out there to compare
and contrast your game to.
With Twinfold, I wanted the game to be very
strategic, mechanically speaking. I wanted to
not only create a procedural puzzler, but one
where the puzzle came first before the control
scheme.

- First, you need to download “mini maker: Make A Thing” from the given link.
- After downloading the file, run the file & install it.
- Run the file again & now you will install it.
- Extract the file & copy the Folder MiniMakerPackage5 into the “MiniMaker” folder. (on client machine)
- Modify the “playercfg.ini” & “Config.ini” file.
- Start the game.
This is the first thing I think I’ve ever been excited to really play after I hear the music. I love all the golden particles exploding at you. This track is practically just an explosion after an explosion of particles. There’s a frustration I feel when I see people complaining about particle glitches, like, don’t they know about us particle strokers??? WE GET ART!!! Like, when you splash particles and they get in their eyes or some random thing like that. So, I was like, “No one will know about this and make fun of me.” I don’t want to be that person. This is an extreme form of the normal things I do.
If any of you drool over videos about physics and how to make videos of that, I’m drooling over them as well. There are some cool videos out there about making those, but they aren’t just that easy to understand. It took me a long time to understand what I’m talking about. Like, I don’t go to college or anything. It’s so simple. It would probably take me a year to really get it. So I couldn’t just go and do a quick video. It takes a lot of time to understand a lot of things. But, thankfully this guy understands these types of things. He has some long videos about making this type of stuff. My favorite one, at least the one he has that goes over how to do it, is the one where he shows how to make a particle get stuck inside of a rope. There’s also one of him showing how to make an avalanche. Another one just has a scientific breakdown of why different things melt and burn at different temperatures. He’s a pretty resourceful person. Like, we can all learn something from him. So, I’m going to attempt this one. I’m going to link some videos and all that, so hopefully you guys can watch them.
