It’s time for Nigate. A guild that specializes in the arts of nigation. Nigate crafts the catapults that keep their civilization safe. But all is not well in Nigate. The citizens are getting restless, some are prepared to leave Nigate for greener pastures. People aren’t happy about the Guild’s constant and relentless nigation by the inhabitants of Ecks. Even more alarming is the fact that the enemy is building up their forces and striking hard at the walled city.

Game Play
This Fantasy Roguelike isn’t quite a hack and slash game, but in the same vein as many other roguelikes, you will gain experience and levels over the course of the game. You will also have the option of upgrading your character stats. Each level up earns you both coins and experience points that can be used to unlock various stat/skill upgrades and/or items. Once you’ve reached the maximum number of experience points you can earn you will find the game will be permanently locked and you will have to start the game all over again.
The game also features standard attack and defense in combat.
Controls
Arrows to move, R to ‘Rally’ (rest your character), Space to activate power-up.
Develop your hero by building up your stats, gaining skills and abilities, enhancing your gear and unlocking treasure.
There are currently a total of 8 playable classes with a total of 32 different skills each of which has a variety of active and passive effects.

Plot summary

This is quite a departure from the original X-COM, but it’s still the base of the story and gameplay.
You only have a few mission parameters to really succeed the game:
– Defeat the aliens.
– Recover alien technology and anything else useful.
– Save the alien life forms.
But here’s the thing. The game is much more than just about fighting the aliens. It gives you the opportunity to make choices and have some consequences. You have to decide how to deal with each situation, whether to use different strategies to accomplish your goals, and your choices are often deepened with your experience.

The best way I can describe the gameplay is: this is a real war simulator, similar to some of the strategy games of the 90’s and early 00’s (Civilization, Master of Orion, Planetfall, Crusader Kings), but with more tactical and FPS elements. For all you war veterans, let’s just say that there’s a definite link between X-COM and the legendary Total War game.
Things like diplomacy are at the heart of the game: you need to woo and intimidate other factions to survive.
The environment and the alien technologies are represented by various symbols, which you can see on the 3D map. These give you hints about what’s the enemy’s or what resources can you expect to find in each area.
